Chhatisgarh Investments Limited is flagship holding company of Sarda Group having substantial investments in various ventures of the group. The Company was incorporated in the year 1982 as a closely held Public Limited Company and was subsequently listed on the Kolkata and M.P. Stock Exchange.
The Company is holding / controlling more than 1/3rd of the equity share capital of Sarda Energy & Minerals Limited, the flagship listed company of the group, having interests in the steel, ferro alloys and power. The Company has also promoted Sarda Dairy & Food Products Pvt. Ltd. which is putting up an Integrated Dairy Project in the State of Chhatisgarh at a capital outlay of Rs.137 Crores. The Company has gone for the “Amul” model of the dairy development in the State of Chhatisgarh which is a milk deficit state.
The Company has also put up a 2 MW Solar Power Plant under National Solar Mission, supplying power to the State under PPA for 25 years. The Commercial operations started in Oct, 2011.
The Company also has interests in the horticulture and agriculture spread over about 700 acres of land in the State of Chhatisgarh. The Company is cultivating vegetables on 560 acres of land which are supplied across the country and also various other crops for meeting animal feed requirement of the Dairy Project. The Company has plans to foray into organic farming using the waste generated from the Dairy Project. The Company is also going to enter into real estate business.
